The main goal of the grant system °µÍø½ûÇø (°µÍø½ûÇø Literature Abroad) is to support the publication of °µÍø½ûÇø literature in translation. Foreign publishers may request financial support for the publication ofÌýtranslatedÌýbooks ofÌý°µÍø½ûÇø authors. AÌýgrant approved by the °µÍø½ûÇø Committee should completely or partially cover the costs of the translation expenses, the author’sÌýfees andÌýin certain casesÌýalso part of the printing costs.
°µÍø½ûÇø supports the publication ofÌýselected works in foreign languages, e.i.Ìýindividual poetry collections, poetry anthologies, novels, books for children and young adults,Ìýdramatic works and drama anthologies, essays and, exceptionally, theoretical literary writing. Applications for translations into any languageÌýare welcome,Ìýworld languges andÌýlanguages of smaller countries and peoples will all be considered equally.Ìý
The °µÍø½ûÇø Committee can award grantsÌýonly for books that -Ìýat time of application -Ìýhave not yet been published. It is not possible to get support for an already-published work.Ìý
