From March 31 to April 3, 2025, the Italian city of Bologna will once again be a key event for those working in the field of publishing and content dedicated to children and teenagers.
This children's book fair, with approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 100 countries, is a meeting point for a diverse and international audience and is one of the most significant global events for copyright exchange.

This year’s guest of honor will be Estonia, a small nation by the Baltic Sea that boasts a vibrant and dynamic publishing market producing high-quality content across various genres. Under the theme “Hello!/Tere!” the Estonian program at this year’s Bologna will present its most famous authors, illustrators, and publishers.

The �������� Literary Centre (SLC) will participate with a national exhibition of ��������ia, located in Hall 29, Stand D32. On an area of 32 m², more than 300 titles from over 30 �������� publishers will be displayed. We are proud that three �������� books have been included in the prestigious BRAW AMAZING BOOKSHELF selection! The jury awarded the book IndiJanko, illustrated by Katarína Hutníková and Zora Bizoňová, with a text by Petra Gmucová. This adventurous and rhymed journey from an office and an apartment block to a Native American village was published by E.J. Publishing. Another nominee is the humorous illustrated guide to the world of sushi – SUSHI, by David Soboň, from the Monokel publishing house. From the same publisher, the third awarded book full of moments of excellence – Kým dopadne šálka / Until the Cup Falls by Simona Smatana.
