The 28th Budapest International Book Festival will take place from 28 September to 1 October, once again at the popular Millenaris venue.
This year it will welcome as guest of honor the science fiction author John Scalzi, winner of the Hugo Award. He will receive the Grand Prize of Budapest from the hands of the Mayor of Budapest. The focus of the fair this year will be on Dutch literature, and visitors to the festival can meet dozens of renowned Dutch writers, poets and illustrators.
authors will also be present at the fair. On 29 September 2023, a literary discussion with selected foreign writers will take place, where Pavol Rankov will be present, and Richard Pupala has accepted an invitation to join the discussion of the European Prize for Literature laureates.
A -Hungarian literary conversation with young writers who write about topics that might seem sensitive to others will present Barbara Hrinová and Nicol Hochholczerová on the last day of the festival.
