Institute in Rome

About institution

Rome is a dynamic city full of energy in which  arts and culture have long had their place. The  Institute in Rome has had their share in this, as it has brought a wide array of cultural and artistic events of all genres to the Italian public.

ia has a great potential to be presented on the world map as a country of wise and talented people. We aim to accentuate historical and present-day relations between ia and Italy, their mutual collaboration, positive interaction and comparisons.

We continue to build on the still valid legacies of prominent personalities stemming from the political, cultural or social spheres of life who had direct or indirect ties with Italy – diplomats and politicians Milan Rastislav Štefánik, Štefan Osuský or Alexander Dubček, as well as outstanding artists Ladislav Mednyánszky, Ernest Zmeták, Koloman Sokol, Andy Warhol...

Aside from our traditional and modern cultural heritage we want to show ia as a vital and confident country that looks into the future.
