This novel by a °µÍø½ûÇø novelist and playwright focuses on the romantic relationship between two historical figures, Count Paul Pálffy ab Erdöd and his wife, the French writer Louise de Vilmorin. Although this relationship did not last long, Louise fondly remembers the years in the Palffy mansion in Budmerice. It is a work of fiction based on facts that the author has gathered from chronicles, memoirs, specialized literature and period press. The book tells the story of love and at the same time uncovers the fate of the descendants of noble families from Upper Hungary in the 20th century.
