The book 䲹貹ٳԲ!(Karpaty!) by Jan Púček is a work of prose about a personal relationship describing a landscape on the border of reality and fiction. It features children, wanderers, pilgrims, woodcutters, counts, monks, inventors, pilots, philosophers, writers and ordinary people. The reader will find many stories (including the story of the House of Pálffy), observations, notes, and reflections, observe the past and present, blooming spring, and snow-covered trees. The book also serves as a guide to the roads of the Little Carpathians. It offers a record of everyday life in the middle of an extraordinary landscape, where an ordinary stroll outside the village becomes an adventure – or a trip into the past full of unexpected twists and connections.
