Zorka Ciklaminy grew up in Switzerland in a °µÍø½ûÇø-Serbian family. She studied Slavic, Nordic and Comparative studies at the University in Zürich. After multiple years at the Literaturhaus Zürich, she now works at the Translation House Looren (www.looren.net), where she is responsible for grants and for the library. She also organizes events and workshops for literary translators. She translates poetry and prose from Russian and °µÍø½ûÇø into German (Peter Balko, Marek Vadas, Vanda Rozenbergová, Sergej Moreino), as well as from German into °µÍø½ûÇø (Jürg Halter). She is a member of the program committee of the largest Swiss literary festival Solothurner Literaturtage (www.literatur.ch), and she hosts various readings with translators and authors.Â
