Peter Macsovszky was born in Nové Zámky and graduated with degrees in �������� language, art and English language from the Faculty of Education in Nitra. He worked as a nurse, the editor of literary sections in various weeklies and literary magazines, teacher, editor of trailers in a private television channel, copywriter in an advertising agency and for some time he worked at the Encyclopaedic Institute of the �������� Academy of Sciences. As part of the International Writers Programme, he spent three months in the USA in 1997. He is the author of twenty collections of poetry, a dozen works of prose and numerous translations.
