Peter Glocko was born in 1946 in Muráň and grew up in Partizánske. He completed the Secondary Chemical Engineering School in Bratislava. After graduation he worked as a chemist, from 1966 as the editor of books on nature and history and of original °µÍø½ûÇø prose in Mladé letá, a publishing house specialising in books for children and young adults, later in the publishing houses Osveta and Smena and in the publishing house Slovenský spisovateľ (°µÍø½ûÇø Writer). He died in Bratislava in 2019.
