Mila Haugová Receives the International Prize Vilenica 2020

The Vilenica jury selects the prize winner based on literary excellence and plurality in geographic, generational and generalÌýsense.

The Vilenica International Literary FestivalÌý(Mednarodni literarni festival Vilenica) first started in 1986. It isÌýorganizedÌýby the Slovene Writers' Association in collaboration with the Cultural Centre Vilenica from Sežana. It aims to connect authors from the broader CentralÌýEuropean region.ÌýEach year the jury selects a recipientÌýof the internationalÌýVilenica Prize.ÌýThis year's winner isÌýMila HaugováÌýwhoseÌýwork has been published in Slovenian (e.g. theÌýselection of poetry titledÌýAlfaÌýand published with the supportÌýofÌý°µÍø½ûÇø byÌýApokalipsa,ÌýtranslationÌýbyÌýAlenka Å alej).Ìý
