This comic by Michal Hvorecký, Matúš Vizár, and Adrián Hnát tells the life and work of the philosopher and writer Milan Šimečka, who was one of the most prominent Czechoslovak figures of the 20th century. The regime he helped to strengthen eventually dismissed him from his job, persecuted him, and ruined his health while he was in prison. The true story is based on extensive research in the archives of the secret services, samizdat libraries, and testimonies from generational peers and eyewitnesses.
