Juliana Sokolová nominated for poetry.
The Václav Burian Prize Olomouc is a Central European gathering of poets, writers, translators, journalists and intellectuals who have long been involved in shaping democratic dialogue in the geographical space between the Elbe and the Dnieper, organized in honour of the poet, translator and journalist Václav Burian. It is an exceptional literary award with a Central European focus on poetry. It brings live readings in the original languages and this year, the 9th edition of this prize will take place on 2 October.
The poetry nominees are: Polish poet Urszula Honek, Hungarian poet Zita Iszó, Czech poet Luboš Svoboda (1986), German poet Clara Cosima Wolff and for ia poet, essayist and philosopher Juliana Sokolová. Her participation was supported by the Literary Centre.
