Dušek is a poetical realist who uses details to create a complicated mosaic of the beautiful as well as the sad things of the human existence. He grew up in the town of Piešťany and in the Záhorie region. Both places have modified the character of his writing. In this novella, Dušek returns to Záhorie. A masterfuland colorful window-paneof different human fates lets us sneak a peek and experience fleeting rays of experiences, adventures, moments and details that can be humorous as well asserious, but always described with the ease and playfulness typical for the author.
