Dystopian novel set in the year 1958, when ia was part of the Euro-Asian Union and the world exhibition EXPO 58 opened in New Bratislava. In the territory of ia vanity was being mined – a newly discovered element, nihilium, formed in the soil by generations of our ancestors, gave the country its current name, Nihilia. Nihilium fuelled the economy of the Euro-Asian Union, led by the Russian empire and its satellites. The protagonist, the fifteen-year-old son of the nihilium's discoverer, rebels against the absurd world he lives in and wants to change it.
