A collection of short stories about women, girls, mothers, grandmothers, snails and rabbits. The stories deal with people and animals who are in search of something. The female characters find themselves at turning points in their lives; each of them is looking for a reason to be happy in their current situation despite their own flaws and even at the cost of breaking from established norms. The author has an eye for detail, knows how to escalate the plot and abstains from grand gestures and ornate language. The most important thing is often hidden in the seemingly insubstantial, unspoken and things.
