Rudolf Sloboda's first novel听written听and published after the Velvet Revolution. In听Blood听(1991), the author uses a backdrop of memories from the past years听to depict the events that had led to the protests of November 1989. The novel - just like听Sloboda's other books - is basically听built upon his own life experiences. A bold听narrative style is another characteristic of his prose.
