A book of three short stories by the feminist author. Thevisually told Insomnia by Jana Bodnárová consists of three unique texts. The Mandoline is a screenplay in which reality is intervowen with dreams, The Night Self-talk is a retrospective monologue of a woman taking care of her sick mother and Afterstories are curt as well as poetic reflexions, impressions from travels, encounters and art. The texts are interconnected with the context of the lonely woman and her insomnia as an impulse to create. The fragmentarization - typical for the author - implicitly offers a strong sense of the whole.
