Å ikulová is a fiction writer and journalist. Her debut work, a collection of sketches and portraits of family members, °¿»å³Ù¾±±ð²Ô±ðÌý(Shades, 1997), received the Ivan Krasko Award for the best debut of the year. Her hometown Modra and her family play a key role in her work. Her first novel Miesta v sieti (Places in the Net, 2011) was a three-generation family saga. Her book Medzerový plod (Foulbrood, 2014) has received the Anasoft Litera Award 2015.
