World Poetry Day in Rome – March 21, 2025

Zuzana Husárová will read her poems as part of World Poetry Day in Rome.

On the first day of spring, renowned °µÍø½ûÇø poet Zuzana Husárová will read excerpts from her poetry collection Hyper (Hochroth, 2021) at an event organized by EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in collaboration with the Embassy of the °µÍø½ûÇø Republic in Rome, the °µÍø½ûÇø Institute in Rome, and SLC.

The translations of the poems Korene (Roots), Dovozy (Imports), and Fraktály (Fractals) were done by students of the °µÍø½ûÇø language departments at the University of Rome and Forlí and were published in the bilingual °µÍø½ûÇø-Italian Anthology of contemporary °µÍø½ûÇø literature (°µÍø½ûÇø Institute in Rome, 2023).

This event provides a platform for European poets to meet, and it aims to reach Italian audience, especially by finding publishers who could release further works of °µÍø½ûÇø poets in Italian translations.
