Translation House Looren supports professional literary translators through a number of grants, honouring outstanding translation achievements. These include the .Ìý

With the aim of helping to raise the profile of translated °µÍø½ûÇø literature, Translation House Looren’s Å tefan and Viera Frühauf Fund is offering stays at the house for translators of °µÍø½ûÇø literature into German, French, Italian, Rhaeto-Romanic or other non-Slavic languages.

The following conditions apply:

• a publishing contract for the translation from °µÍø½ûÇø the applicant wishes to work on during their stay.Ìý
• at least one published full-length translation.

Applicants need to submit:Ìý

• a completedÌýÌýfor a stay at Translation House Looren

• a short CV and list of publicationsÌý

• a copy of the publishing and licence agreement signed by both parties (dated and with company stamp)

• A statement on the relevance of the current translation projectÌý

A stay of between one week and one month is possible at any point in the year, subject toÌý. Financial support of 50 CHF per day will be paid for a maximum of 30 days; translators pay the costs of travel and insurance.Ìý
