In 2021 the Mexican Festival de las Letras Europeas will take place in a hybrid form, both online and live, as part of the Guadalajara International Book Fair happening from 27 November to 5 December.
Author Ivana Dobrakovová will represent ia with the Spanish translation of her book Mothers and Lorry Drivers, published by Sexto Piso in 2021. You can tune into her presentation on 4 December 2021 at 8PM.
Poet and translator Lucia Duero was a guest of the festival in the past.
Festival de las Letras Europeas has been offering to readers a space where they can meet the most relevant contemporary European writers as well as new literary talents through discussions and presentations.
The festival will welcome authors such as Sofi Oksanen /Finland/, Georgi Gospodinov /Bulgaria/, John Boyne /Ireland/, Verena Keßler /Germany/, Pierre Ducrozet /France/, Miguel Gane /Spain/, Marieke Lucas Rijneveld /The Netherlands/, Stina Jackson /Sweden/ and Luís Carmelo /Portugal/.
